The purpose of chanted meditation practice (Puja in Sanskrit) is to increase our good fortune, receive blessings, purify negative karma and draw closer to the enlightened beings. Through this we create perfect conditions for finding happiness and peace through successful spiritual practice.

Wishfulfilling Jewel

At the centre we engage daily in the practice of Wishfulfilling Jewel. In the first part of this practice we meditate upon the guru yoga of Je Tsongkhapa, the Wisdom Buddha, to receive his powerful blessings. Through this we can develop our wisdom, and find inspiration and success in all our spiritual activities. In the second part of this practice we rely upon the great Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. Dorje Shugden overcomes obstacles and creates perfect conditions for our spiritual practice to flourish.

This practice is open to everyone.

Offering to the Spiritual Guide

On the 10th and 25th of every month, and on special occasions, we engage in the practice of Offering to the Spiritual Guide. This is a special Guru Yoga practice in conjunction with Je Tsongkhapa. By relying upon Je Tsongkhapa, our compassion, wisdom, and spiritual power naturally increase. In particular, because Je Tsongkhapa is an emanation of the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri, his faithful followers never experience difficulty in increasing their wisdom. There are many other benefits from practising Offering to the Spiritual Guide. These are explained in the book Great Treasury of Merit, which contains a complete commentary to the practice.
